In the Lord of the Rings, mankind’s very existance is being threathend by the Dark Lord, Sauron.  His lost magical ring holds the key to his unbeatable powers of controling Middle-Earth & all of creation.  Well, the ring has resurfaced & its threat begins anew!  Utter darkness & evil will prevail if the ring finds its way back into Sauron’s possession.  The fate of the world lies in one young Hobbit, Frogo of the Shire (Elijah Wood) & his 7 friends to destroy the ring the only way possible; dropping it into the fires from which it was made.  Will they make it to their destination or will the powers of the ring take over them!
