Jess (Parminder Nagra) eats, sleeps, and dreams of soccer.  Only one problem….her parents forbid her to play.  They want her to learn how to cook, dress like a proper lady and meet a handsome Indian boy but Jess has something more in store for herself & for them!  When she befriends Juliette “Jules” Paxton (Keira Knightley), Jules convinces her to try out for the girls soccer team and well…..she makes it!  Now all Jess has to do is hide if from EVERYONE she knows! To make things even more complicated, Jules & Jess’s relationship hits a bumpy road when the hearthrob girls soccor coach (Johnathan Rhys Meyes) enters the picture.  Can Jess keep her secret from her family? Will the two girls stay friends?  No matter what, one things for sure, Bend It Like Beckham is one heck of a romatic soccer comedy that will have you cheering.
