William Thacker (Hugh Grant)  is a lonely travel book store owner who lives with a not-so-hygiene flatmate.  His world gets turned upside down when movie star, Anna Scott (Julia Roberts), visits his little store and again when he meets her on the streets and yet one more time when she ends up at his very home!  Their encounters turn into more than friendly acquantainces but can a normal guy and a famous movie star make true love work or is Anna merely acting?  Notting Hill will leave you in romantic knots.
