Jess (Parminder Nagra) eats, sleeps, and dreams of soccer.  Only one problem….her parents forbid her to play.  They want her to learn how to cook, dress like a proper lady and meet a handsome Indian boy but Jess has something more in store for herself & for them!  When she befriends Juliette “Jules” Paxton (Keira Knightley), Jules convinces her to try out for the girls soccer team and well…..she makes it!  Now all Jess has to do is hide if from EVERYONE she knows! To make things even more complicated, Jules & Jess’s relationship hits a bumpy road when the hearthrob girls soccor coach (Johnathan Rhys Meyes) enters the picture.  Can Jess keep her secret from her family? Carmen (Alexa Vega) and Juni Cortz (Daryl Sabara) are a set of ordinary simblings; they pick on each other every chance they get.  As a whole though, the Cortezes are just one regular suburban family.  When an unexpected emergency takes Gregorio (Antonio Banderas) and Ingrind (Carla Gugino), Carmen and Juni’s parents, away for a few days, the kids are siked.  Things don’t go so great though when unexpected visitors come to the house to start trouble for Carmen, Juni and their uncle (Cheech Marin).  Their invasion reveils a big family secret; Carmen and Juni’s parents are spies…and they are in trouble!  With the help of their uncle, Carmen and Juni must find their spy instints to save their parents.

Shrek and Donkey are at it again in Shrek 2!  Shrek and Fiona have tied the knot and are ready to start their lives together.  Things however, get a little topsy turvy when Fiona’s parents request for them to visit Far Far Away to celebrate their union.  Their welcome is well…quite shocking, when the villagers see what has become of the princess,  including the King and Queen.  In Far Far Away there are some who object to their marriage and will do anything to tear it apart.

What Shrek (played by Mike Myers) wants is to be left alone in his swamp.  Things don’t go his way however, when all of the fairytale creatures are forced out of their homes by Lord Farquaad (played by John Lithgow) and sent to the swamps.  All that they want is to go back home and Shrek will do whatever it takes to get his swamp back including befriending a talking donkey (played by Eddie Murphy), fight a couple of knights and save a princess (played by Cameron Diaz) from a terrible fire breathing dragon but who will save him from falling in love with a beautiful princess when he’s an ogre!  Is beauty more than skin deep? Shrek….an ogre of a treat!

Nothing’s better than having your relatives over for the Christmas holidays!  Even better is that end of the year big bonus to buy them all those great holiday gifts!  Well…one out of two ain’t bad!  The money would have been nice.  Chevy Chase Christmas Vacation (starring Chevy Chase, Beverly D-Angelo & Randy Quaid) is a fun-loving holiday comedy movie where so many things go so wrong that you wonder how anything ever goes right.  One can only hope for the best, especially around the holidays.
